Day Therapy provides support and advice to patients and their families, to help achieve and regain the best quality of life possible.
This is achieved by assessing the patients/families needs looking at rehabilitation, symptom management, support for the families and helping the person gain increased confidence and independence from diagnosis, changes in their condition and support when approaching end of life.
Day Therapy also allows patients to have the opportunity to experience different therapies to help improve well being - including creative therapies, complementary therapies and spiritual support.
Day Therapy is presently open Monday – Friday between 9am – 4pm with the majority of patients attending between 10am – 3pm.
Focus Days are aimed at particular groups of patients with specific needs. These include:

Newly Diagnosed Programme - a ten week programme offering advice, support and information.

Young Persons Day – aimed at the ‘Young at Heart’ with activities appropriate.

Treatments – administration of planned infusions to aid symptom support.
