Our Hospice Warehouse And Shops
East Lancashire Hospice has six charity shops in the area:
Our Hospice charity shops are modern and bright and have built up a loyal following as well as attracting new customers all in search of a bargain.
At our shop in Clitheroe we sell donated goods and bridal wear as well as a wide range of new hats, fascinators and handbags. Our Warehouse in Brunswick Street, Blackburn sells second-hand furniture and household goods; it also doubles as a donation centre this makes it much easier for people to donate goods to us as they can drive right up to the door to drop donations off without having to worry about town centre traffic and parking restrictions.
The shops are always in need of good quality donations of men's, ladies and children’s clothing, shoes and handbags, bric-a-brac, books, CD’s and DVD’s. We also generate additional income from recycling so very little is wasted.
The success of the shops is largely due to the volunteers who help to run them – each shop has a team of approximately 20 volunteers who ensure that goods are sorted, priced and displayed as well as serving customers.
