East Lancashire Hospice are proud to announce a charity partnership with Blackburn Rovers ahead of the 2018-19 season.

Blackburn Rovers Community Trust remain the official charity of the football club, who have also formed new partnerships with East Lancashire Hospice, Child Action North West and Age UK Blackburn with Darwen.

As a charity partner, we will benefit from fundraising and awareness events, including a dedicated matchday at Ewood Park, as well as signed merchandise and player appearances.

Steve Waggott, Chief Executive of Blackburn Rovers, said: “The club are delighted to be able to announce the new charity partnerships and are excited to continue our work alongside our official charity partner, Blackburn Rovers Community Trust, to assist these worthy causes through donated items, publicity and player appearances.”

Gary Robinson, CEO of Blackburn Rovers Community Trust, added: "As the club’s official charity, we are thrilled to be part of this fantastic opportunity to help raise awareness and much-needed funds to support our work within the local community."

Lyn Stevenson, Chief Executive of East Lancashire Hospice, said: “We are thrilled that Blackburn Rovers have chosen East Lancashire Hospice as one of the charities to support in the coming year.

"As a local charity, the link with such a big name in the town is very exciting and will help to bring in funds to provide care to local people at a time when they need it.

"We also hope that the partnership will help us to raise awareness of our services in the local area, so our community knows that we are there for them should they need us.

"We are really looking forward to working together with the club over the coming year.”
