Keenans Estate Agents ethos is to give something back into their local community. They support to the hospice through corporate sponsorship, charitable donations and taking part in our fundraising events. They believe that building long-lasting relationships with their community partners like the hospice strengthens our ties with the region, making them better placed as local experts to help people to sell their home or purchase a new property.
Bensons for Beds staff voted for a local charity for 2013/14 to support and they overwhelmingly decided on the hospice. The fundraising team planned a series of events including taking part in the Charities Together Dragon Boat Race to raise much needed funds which will give them a grand total at the end of the year. We're so grateful to Bensons staff for choosing us.
Brick Technology Ltd is based in Blackburn and provides web design & development, internet marketing, media production and graphic design expertise. Colin Clarke, Managing Director of Brick heard on the grapevine that we were looking to develop a new website and got in touch. The team at Brick loved the fact they were supporting their local hospice as their Charity of the Year and that they could do something positive to support a charitable organisation on their doorstep. They generously pledged their support and in September 2010 they helped us launch this very website at no cost to East Lancashire Hospice, an incredibly generous gift.
Matalan, Blackburn chose to support their local hospice after hitting their national annual fundraising target in just 6 months. The retail store has organised several fundraising events including Halloween Spooktaculars and Christmas fun weekends. They've raised thousands of pounds and keep on adding to it!
Crown based in Darwen have a dedicated charity team who work hard all year round to plan events and fundraisers which help to give something back to their community and help care for our patients.
Granby Marketing Workers at the Blackburn firm have selected us to benefit from their fundraising over several years. Everyone pitches in by donating their unwanted clothes on donation days and making and selling cakes to make it a real team effort!
Cardboard Box Company are one of the hospice’s staunchest supporters. From sponsoring our Starlight Walk t-shirts to providing entertainment for our annual hospice ball, our friends at Cardboard Box Company are always there for us.
Blackburn College succeeded in raising the £25,000 target they set themelves after learning about how the hospice cares for local people. They have also donated via The Big Give Appeal to have donations matched therefore doubling their donations to the hospice.
Rosenberger Micro Coax LTD are supporting the hospice for the second year running. They have taken part in the annual Starlight Walk and Manchester 10k and donated items such as clothes and ink cartridges as well as holding a Bad Dress Day. Their support last year totalled £1283.29.
Thorn Inn's staff and regulars have, in previousy ears quietly got on with raising funds then surprised us by handing over a four figure sum! They have chosen to support us for many years and we're very grateful for what they do.
Whittakers Butchers, Oswaldtwistle are famous for their meat and now for the fabulous amount of money they have raised for the hospice over the years too. The butchers have organised barbecues, attended fetes, sold homemade jam in the shop and provided 2000 sausages for hospice’s Starlight Walk. They continue to come up with fantastic fundraising ideas for the hospice and we are truly grateful for their support.
Darwen Golf Club took us on as their charity of the year in 2012. They have supported us in the past to the tune of over £1,300 and East Lancashire Hospice is very pleased to have their support.
Accrington & District Freemasons There is no job too large or too small for the team at Accrington District Freemasons. They marshal the Starlight Walk and Santa Dash, are parking attendants for the Christmas Fayre and also set up all the stalls for the fayre. They collect the buckets from Christmas bag packing and fund the drinks trolley for the patients. The list goes on! They provide help and support for all events and we are grateful for their ongoing support.
Yorkshire Bank (Blackburn, Accrington & Clitheroe) helped us to raise over £1000 in the run up to Christmas 2011 by selling Christmas cards, calendars and diaries. The Clitheroe branch also acted as Santa Dash HQ for our spectacular 2011 Santa Dash.
Brush Strokes have kindly supported the hospice by painting our hospice shop in Darwen and have continued to support us.
