Drop Your Pants!

East Lancashire Hospice is collaborating with hospices in the north of England to support testicular cancer awareness month.

A campaign aimed to encourage men to visit their local hospice charity shop and donate their unwanted clothes has been rolled out to hospices across the North of England, to coincide with Testicular Cancer Awareness Month.

Following the success of the Pendleside hospice’s ‘Drop Your Pants’ campaign, which ran for the first time last June, East Lancashire Hospice and six other hospices have now joined together to run the initiative.

The campaign running throughout April calls on men to visit the shops and donate good quality unwanted clothes. Other hospices to take on the initiative are: Woodlands Hospice in Liverpool, St Mary’s Hospice in Ulverston, Eden Valley Hospice in Carlisle, Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Oldham and Willowbrook Hospice in St Helen’s.

Dawn Neary, Retail Manager for East Lancashire Hospice said: “We are really pleased to be collaborating with other North West hospice retailers in joining the Drop Your Pants campaign. We hope that the campaign will encourage men of all ages to step into our shops and see the wide range of goods that we offer – we really do have something for everybody!”
