Creative and Support therapy members Phyllis Rawstron, 91, Naomi Hickey, 38 and Mac McCallister, 52 are among the patients who have been busy making and putting items together to be sold on the Creative and Support Therapy stall.

Mac said: “Coming to the hospice helps me get through the week and gives me something to look forward to. It brings me joy and being involved in the Christmas Fayre making and putting together items has been a team effort that I’ve enjoyed. I’ve been to many Christmas fayres at the hospice and the spirit and atmosphere is brilliant.”

Naomi added: “Coming to the hospice is an opportunity to meet people with similar problems to me and share our experiences. I’ve loved making the items for the Christmas Fayre as it’s my way of putting something back into the hospice for the care they’ve given me.”

And Phyllis said: “We all look forward to coming and I get to meet people who have become friends. I’ve felt like I’ve contributed something by helping make items for the Christmas Fayre. We just hope that people come and support this good cause.”

The fayre is held on Sunday November 16 and runs from 11.30-3pm. Entry is £1 for adults and free for children under 12 years.
