Janitorial UK

With a wailing of sirens, the centre piece of Janitorial UK’s fundraising efforts for the East Lancashire Hospice 2018 Corporate Challenge will be a lookalike American police car which will be auctioned during the summer.

Janitorial UK’s managing director Tom Davies bought an old classic Lexus 300GS for a bargain price and is having it transformed by a neighbouring car wrapping business in Colne, Wrapped UK. Tom said: “The car will look just like an American police car and I will fill it with a few cleaning related surprises.

“Then any money we get for it at auction will go to the hospice. I will give it lots of publicity in the Press and on social media so hopefully we will get loads of money.”

Janitorial UK was launched around 12 months ago and is sister company to Chemico UK that manufactures its own range of cleaning products. Based at Unit 4, Primet Business Centre, Burnley Rd, Colne, Janitorial UK is a leading distributor of major cleaning and janitorial brands supplying contract cleaners, schools and work places across Lancashire.

One product it is promoting strongly is an eco-friendly range manufactured by Chemico UK called Unique Blue, an all-round hard surface cleaner.

Tom, who plays rugby at Colne and Nelson Rugby Club, also plans to put a team of rugby players together to take part in the Ribble Valley Pub Walk which raised funds for the hospice. Tom said: “We only have two people working at Janitorial UK so I will be calling on clients and friends to help us raise as much money as we can for East Lancashire Hospice.

“Like all hospices East Lancashire offers some amazing services and when I heard about the Corporate Challenge at my BNI meeting in Accrington I decided straight away to join in and raise as much money as possible. I know it’s going to be a lot of fun and while it’s good for everyone taking part including Janitorial UK in the end there is only one winner and that’s East Lancashire Hospice.”
