Light Up a Life 2021

We would like to invite you to stand with us and others who will be remembering loved ones and making a Light Up A Life dedication this year.

This is a time that can join us all together across our community in honour of their memory.

Last year we were unable to remember our loved ones in the usual way, but instead we still had the opportunity to remember them from the comfort of our own homes. This year East Lancashire Hospice are inviting you to remember by either attending the service at Blackburn Cathedral on Monday 13 December, 7:30pm or at home by watching the virtual video available on Facebook and the hospice website.

Option 1 - Make a dedication on our Night Sky

Make a dedication on the East Lancashire Hospice Night Sky in return for a donation by uploading a message and image for your loved one and see their star shine bright over the festive period. When you make a Light up a Life dedication, a star will illuminate on the Night Sky.

Please note – by making a dedication directly onto the night sky, you will not receive a card via post. Only those who return the form will receive a card. Please contact fundraising if you would like a form sent out (01254 ) 287014.

Option 2 - Purchase a Light Up a Life at Home Pack

Purchase a Light up a Life at Home pack and join us on Monday 13 December at 7:30pm for the virtual Light up a Life video in the comfort of your own home and light your candle in remembrance of your loved one.

In your pack you will receive a tea light candle, a dedication star that can be hung on your Christmas tree, together with a Light up a Life booklet.

These can be purchased via our online shop for £10.

Please note – These are sold separately to the Light up a life dedication, if you would like to make a dedication as well as purchasing a pack, please do so on the Night Sky.

Packs will not be posted out until the last week in November 2021.

Every dedication made ensures we are able to continue to provide a special way of caring for our patients at East Lancashire Hospice.
