Carers support drop in group

We appreciate that being a carer can be challenging.  You may feel isolated, lonely and unsupported.

Our drop-in group is available for carers to come and share their experiences, worries and ideas in a relaxed and safe environment. A short break from caring, and the chance to talk to others in a similar situation, can be a breath of fresh air and help you to see things from a different perspective.

You may not feel like a carer, or describe yourself as a ‘carer’ – you may look after someone close to you, a loved one, relative, friend or neighbour. If you care for someone and feel in need of support, or you would like to meet other carers, our new drop in group is there for you.

You and the person you care for do not need to have had any previous hospice contact. Whatever their condition, and your circumstances, you are welcome to attend our carers drop-in group. If you or the person you care for lives in Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn or the Ribble Valley you can attend our free, informal groups which are on once a fortnight.

There is no need to book or to let us know that you plan to attend – simply turn up on the day, enjoy a brew and a chat with fellow carers.

Group commences Friday 4 March 10.30am – 12 noon and continues fortnightly thereafter

Venue: Siegleman House (immediately on the right upon entering the hospice grounds)
East Lancashire Hospice
