Oh What a Night!

Guests have a ball at hospice fundraiser!

Guests had a ball at East Lancashire hospice’s annual fundraiser.

The ‘Oh what a night!’ Annual ball took place at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Clayton-le-Moors, attended by 280 people.

Supporters enjoyed the sounds of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, led by West End star Michael Watson and his sensational tribute band ‘The Jersey Rollers’.

The night also featured songs from Britain’s Got Talent singer Sue Moretta from Clayton-le-Moors, who got Simon Cowell and the other BGT judges dancing after her rendition of Don’t Rain On My Parade.

The evening raised an incredible £29,000 for the hospice from ticket sales and auction on the night. Prizes included a signed Michael Carrick shirt, boots and tickets to Manchester United v Burnley, Dining experience for 10 at Northcote, Billy Joel tickets, John Chapman paintings, Velodrome experience for 16 people, gourmet chef for the evening, Royal Yacht Britannia experience, Gary Barlow tickets, and a two week stay in a luxury villa in Portugal.

A silent auction was also held on the night including Sam Smith tickets, Jason Manford tickets, X-Factor Live Tour tickets, Dual Boot tablet, Pamper package, Golf clubs, Cilla the Musical tickets, jewellery, interiors vouchers and a meal for two at restaurants across the Ribble Valley.

Sharon Crymble, fundraising manager at East Lancashire Hospice, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the event, the businesses who sponsored the auction prizes and the acts for their incredible performances on the night.

“We think everyone will agree that it was a night to remember. Everyone has helped to raise an incredible amount of money for the hospice, which will help to fund the services for patients and their loved ones when they need it most.”
