PM+M, the Blackburn-based accountancy, business advisory and wealth management firm, are pleased to announce that they will be supporting East Lancashire Hospice by taking part in the 2018 Corporate Challenge.
With East Lancashire Hospice close to the heart of many PM+M team members, the firm made the decision to get involved with this year’s Corporate Challenge to raise awareness of the incredible work they do, and fundraise to allow the Hospice to continue delivering outstanding care and compassion to patients and their families.
The Challenge will see the firm battle it out with 25 other local businesses to see who can raise the most money for the Hospice in the most inventive ways.
PM+M’s fundraising is already off to a successful start, with a number of team members in training to take part in charity runs. Currently in the process of planning other fundraising initiatives, PM+M hope for success and to reach the top of the leaderboard by the end of the Challenge.
PM+M’s Corporate Challenge leader, Julie Mason, commented, “We are so pleased to be involved in this year’s Corporate Challenge.
“Whilst we are hoping to organise a few fundraisers ourselves, we will also be taking part in some of the Hospice organised events such as the Bubble Rush in May. We hope that our team will be able to bring their families along so that people of all ages can be involved!”
Julie added: “So many people are touched by the fantastic work that the Hospice provides to patients and their families, and the funds raised by local businesses as part of the Corporate Challenge will allow the Hospice staff to continue doing so.
“My step-grandmother was recently cared for in a Hospice in Blackpool, and whilst it wasn’t East Lancashire Hospice, I witnessed first-hand the incredible strength and compassion of the nurses looking after her. Taking part in the Challenge will allow us to give back to the Hospice and allow them to continue doing such a rewarding and important job.”
With offices also in Burnley and Bury alongside their Blackburn headquarters, PM+M has previously taken part in the Corporate Challenges organised by Pendleside Hospice and Bury Hospice. The firm will continue to support all three Hospices to ensure that the incredible care provided by the staff is recognised.
