East Lancashire Hospice

Used stamps and foreign coins

Stamps and Coins

East Lancashire Hospice can raise money from both British and overseas stamps. It doesn't matter if they have already been used, or if they are everyday first or second class stamps - they all raise money for East Lancashire Hospice!

We also collect stamp collections, packs and albums.

The stamps are mostly sold by weight or if we find stamps that have worth then we can sell them for a higher price. As a guideline we receive about £100.00 per postage sack of stamps.

We can also make use of any left over foreign coins from travels abroad or old currency. Old and new postcards can also be used to generate funds.

Do encourage your friends and family, at home and abroad, to save their stamps, postcards or foreign coins for East Lancashire Hospice.

Mobile Phones

Mobile phone users on average replace their handset every 18 months; 15 million are discarded in the UK each year but only 4% are recycled, isn't that staggering? They are a hazard if discarded but if they are recycled they can be put to very good use.

Currently, it is estimated that there are about 50 million phone users in the UK with. With approximately 85 million unused phones lying around in people's homes. Millions of unwanted handsets could potentially be recycled.

Send your Cartridges/Mobile Phones to: East Lancashire Hospice, Park Lee Road, Blackburn, BB2 3NY or drop them of at any of the Hospice Shops.
