Light up a life

13 December 2026 (14:00 - 18:00)

Light up a Life is a special time where we can come together and remember friends and family who have sadly died. Every light lit is a symbol of the memories we cherish of them.

By donating in memory of someone you hold close in your heart, their name will be displayed in our online Book of Remembrance from 5th December and on the day of the event.

Why Light up a Life Matters

This year, Teddy and his family will be taking part in Light up a Life in memory of his dad, Jay, who was cared for at East Lancashire Hospice.
“Being at the Hospice meant we could spend time together in a way that felt happy. We played games, watched films and made memories that mean everything to my family and me,” recalls Teddy.
When you make a Light Up a Life dedication, you’re not only remembering someone special, but you’re also helping East Lancashire Hospice create precious memories for other families.
“I would love for you to join my sister, mum and me on 13th December at the Hospice for the Light Up a Life event. It is a chance for us to come together and remember the people we miss.“
