Support Us
Fundraising
However you choose to support us, you’re never doing it alone. We’re here to help, encourage and cheer you on every step of the way.
Host your own fundraiser
From coffee mornings and quiz nights, to family fun days and community events, your ideas can make a real impact. If you’re not sure where to start, our team will be by your side with ideas, advice and practical support to help your event run smoothly.
Big or small, every pound raised helps us be there when people need us most.
Challenge yourself
Taking on a challenge is a powerful way to raise funds while pushing yourself to do something extraordinary.
From 10K runs and Tough Mudder events, to marathons and the Three Peaks Challenge, there are opportunities across the country to take part in events that test your limits and make a real difference.
We have a limited number of charity places available, and if there’s a specific event you’d love to enter to raise money for the Hospice, our team can explore whether we’re able to secure a place for you. You can also take part in our own fundraising events throughout the year; our events calendar is regularly updated with opportunities to get involved.
Schools
We work closely with local schools to build meaningful partnerships that help children understand what a hospice is and why hospice care matters within the community.
As part of these partnerships, pupils are invited to visit the Hospice for a guided tour and spend time with patients through our Creative and Support Therapies. Activities such as singing, dancing and crafts help create positive, shared experiences, while also giving children a clear understanding of the care and support we provide.
The pupils also take part in fundraising activities that encourage teamwork, empathy and generosity from a young age.
Hop, Skip & Jump
Our Hop, Skip & Jump fundraising scheme is designed especially for nurseries and primary schools and takes place during the spring months.
Each participating school or nursery chooses a day between March – May to take part in the challenge, with children hopping, skipping or jumping their way through a course or for a set period of time that suits them.
Every child receives a fundraising pack, including a sponsorship form, a spring-themed crown to decorate, a certificate and a chocolate treat. Once the event is complete, our team visits the school or nursery to present a cheque and thank everyone involved for their fantastic support.
Community Groups
Community fundraising is at the heart of what we do. From faith groups to neighbourhood committees and social groups, we work with a wide range of community organisations that want to support the Hospice.
If you’re interested in raising money but aren’t sure where to start, our fundraising team can help you shape your idea, offer practical advice and support you through the planning process. No matter the size of your event, we’ll work with you to help make it a success.
Ramadan Collections
We’re proud to work alongside local mosques throughout the year and particularly during Ramadan, when many communities come together to support charitable causes.
These collections help raise vital funds for hospice care and strengthen our links within the community. If you’d like to be involved in Ramadan fundraising or would like to explore how your local mosque can support East Lancashire Hospice, our team would be happy to talk through the options with you.
JustGiving Page
Setting up a JustGiving page is a simple and effective way to collect sponsorship for your fundraiser.
Our team can help you get set up and link your page directly to the Hospice’s official JustGiving account, making it easy for friends, family and colleagues to donate online.
Donations can be made instantly, meaning you don’t have to spend time chasing sponsorship, and every contribution goes towards helping us care for more people in our community.

Make a Donation
Your donation helps East Lancashire Hospice be there for our patients and their friends and family when they need us most.
We receive just one third of our funding from the government, so we rely on the generosity of our community to help us raise over £4.5 million each year. Every gift, big or small, helps us provide specialist care and support and focus on what matters most.
