When the Hospice opened over 26 years ago it was revolutionary being the only Hospice within East Lancashire. This only happened because of the dedication of our founder and former medical director, Dr Merton Seigleman.
Over the years both the Hospice and the services that we provide has grown considerably to meet the needs of our patients.
In addition to our Inpatient Facilities and Community and Rehabilitation Services we also have a number of other services to help our community at the time when our help is needed. These include;
- Bereavement Service
- End of Life Care
- Clinical Nurse Specialists
- Education
The Hospice offers specialist care, supportive care and end of life care for patients and their families both in the Hospice and in their own homes.
