Foam fans prepare for incredi-bubble Fun
Foam fans are being encouraged to sign up to East Lancashire Hospice’s Bubble Rush event and take advantage of half-price tickets.
Due to the success of this year’s inaugural Bubble Rush, East Lancashire Hospice will be hosting the family-friendly fundraiser again on Saturday 27 April 2019. Those taking part will run through a number of checkpoints which will be filled with coloured foamy bubbles, and possibly a few surprises.
A limited number of 250 early bird tickets have been released, costing just £10 for adults and £5 for children. All money raised will be going straight to East Lancashire Hospice.
This year’s Bubble Rush will take place on the playing fields at Pleckgate High School in Blackburn. Entrants can run, walk, skip or dance one lap of 2.5km, or double the bubble and complete the track twice, totalling a race of 5km.
Those taking part will receive a Bubble Rush t-shirt, a medal, and have exclusive access to the Charity Village filled with colourful Bubble Rush merchandise.
East Lancashire Hospice offers a range of services to those with life limiting illnesses from Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley, and all money raised through the Bubble Rush event will be donated to the hospice. The Blackburn-based charity offers day patient services, hospice at home care, a 10-bed inpatient unit and bereavement support.
There will be two waves during the day. The ‘Groovy Greens’ will be setting off at 11am and ‘Hello Yellows’ will begin their circuit at 12.00pm. Please note that in order to avoid disappointment it is recommended that you sign up early to the same wave if you would like to take part with your friends, family or colleagues.
After the early-admission tickets are sold out, adults will pay £20 for entry and £8 for children taking part. Children under the age of three qualify for free entry but will not receive a t-shirt or medal.
