A place to enjoy and unwind

Café Retreat offers a light, modern and welcoming space where people can relax, meet friends, or take a moment to unwind. Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast, lunch or something sweet, you’ll always receive a warm welcome.

The café is supported by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who generously give their time to the Hospice. Together, they help create a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where people feel comfortable and cared for.

Fresh, homemade food

We serve a wide range of freshly prepared, homemade food throughout the day. Our menus include breakfast, lunch and desserts, along with a daily special.

All of our food is prepared with care, using quality ingredients, whether you’re joining us for a quick coffee or sitting down for a meal.

Life of Pie

Our popular Life of Pie scheme allows members of the public to pre-order our homemade pies and collect them directly from Café Retreat. Each pie serves four to six people, making them ideal for family meals, gatherings or special occasions.

We offer a range of flavours, including plate meat, chicken, leek and mushroom, and our much-loved cheese and onion pie. Pies are available from £10 each and need to be ordered 24 hours in advance.

External event catering

Café Retreat also provides external catering for events, special occasions and corporate days. Our catering is suitable for all occasions and includes a range of buffet menu options.

All food is freshly cooked and presented on display platters, with disposable plates, cutlery and napkins provided. To find out more about our external catering options, please contact our team.

Private hire

Our Café Retreat restaurant is available for private hire and is a popular choice for large bookings and special occasions. The space offers a modern, welcoming environment, and our team will work with you to help create a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
