What can I donate to the hospice shops?
The shops are always in need of good quality donations. If you are unable to transport the items to our warehouse that you wish to donate then please ring us on 01254 680520 and we will arrange to have the items collected from you.
We accept the following providing they are in a resaleable condition:
- mens, ladies and childrens clothing
- shoes and handbags
- bridal wear (which is sold in our Clitheroe shop on Moor Lane)
Our warehouse in Brunswick Street, Blackburn accepts donations of
- second-hand furniture
- household goods
- electrical items
The warehouse also doubles as a donation centre. This makes it much easier for you to donate goods to us as you can drive right up to the door to drop donations off without having to worry about town centre traffic and parking restrictions. There is plenty of free parking right outside the door and the volunteers will help you unload your car.We also generate additional income from recycling so very little is wasted.
Items we cannot sell
We are extremely grateful for every donation; unfortunately there are some things that we can’t sell for safety or legal reasons and therefore have to pay to dispose of them. Attached is a list of the items we are asked about most frequently, if you are unsure please contact one of the shops for more details.
