Jan Virmani - Yusuf - Trustee

Jan established and ran his own business for over 20 years before retiring, at which time he became a member of East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce and took on the role of Chair of the BAME Community Group. 

In the years that followed, Jan worked for Blackburn Transport and held the position of Chair of Governors for St Thomas’s Primary School.   Along with this, he has served as a Councillor for Blackburn with Darwen Council for over 30 years as well as Mayor of Blackburn for a period. 

Volunteering too has played an important part of Jan’s life for organisations such as the Princes Trust.
