Steve Almond - Trustee

Steve spent most of his career working for Barclays Bank, starting in retail banking at Preston before moving to head up Barclay’s ecommerce business in Northampton and London.

Having established the first UK platform to enable online Internet payments, Steve moved on to become the CEO of a mobile commerce start up business before moving back to Barclays in 2007. In 2010, he left Barclays again to head up a card payments business based in Cheshire, before taking early retirement in 2013.

Since retiring, Steve has followed his passions for music, photography and travel.
