East Lancashire Hospice

Message from East Lancashire Chief Executive Lyn Stevenson

I want to assure you that in these unprecedented times, our patients are at the centre of all decisions that are being made to ensure their safety, as well as that of our visitors, volunteers and staff.

To do this, we have had to change some of our current practices that include restricting visiting times and changing how we provide some of our services. We have had to look carefully at how we care for our most vulnerable patients to ensure we can provide 24 hour care within our Inpatient Unit in this ever changing situation.

We have also had to postpone many of our fundraising activities and for the present time stop our furniture collections but we are trying hard to keep our shops open for as long as we can.

As a local charity our community has for the last 35 years supported our hospice. We know that the times are going to be tough for the foreseeable future but with the strength that is being shown and the help and care that is being offered, we will support each other and get through this difficult time.

We are truly grateful to you for your understanding that our main priority just now is to continue to provide care and support in the best way we can while ensuring that our hospice is here for years to come.
