Lammack Juniors Gift kit Sponsorship to East Lancashire Hospice

Lammack Juniors surprised East Lancashire Hospice with a belated Christmas Present this week when they kindly gifted the sponsorship of their kit to the hospice for a 3 year period.

The team, who are a FA Charter Standard Community Club and who play at Gary Hamer Memorial Ground as well as the Harrison Playing Fields, Lammack Road, Blackburn were established in 1996 and have a total of 14 Junior Teams with players ranging from 6 years old right up to 18 years of age.

This is the first time the team have gifted their kit sponsorship which represents a value of approximately £7000 and to celebrate the new partnership with the hospice, Lammack FC are offering local school children the chance to design the new kit which will feature the East Lancashire Hospice logo.  The only condition it that it has to be Red, Royal Blue and White which are the club official, colours!   To find out more about how to enter please visit Lammack FC’s Facebook page facebook.com/LammackFC

Ian Jones, Chairperson for Lammack FC said “For some years we have been lucky to have a commercial sponsor for our kit and when the discussion started recently about who we should approach next, we decided to think outside of the box by offering the kit sponsorship to a local charity to provide them with valuable exposure within our community.  We are aware that all charities are struggling to generate income at the present time due to the pandemic and as a community club we recognise the importance that East Lancashire Hospice plays to the people of Blackburn, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley and we are delighted to be able to support them.

Katie Elliott – Marketing and Communications Lead, East Lancashire Hospice commented “We are incredibly grateful to Ian and all of the team at Lammack Juniors for this wonderful gift.   As a hospice we have to raise in the region of £3.9 million a year to care for our patients both in the hospice and out in the local community and due to the pandemic we already have a shortfall in the region of £650,000 for the first 9 months of this financial year.  We recognise the significant value attached to the kit sponsorship both in terms of monetary value and in terms of the chance for us to raise our profile in the local community which is only possible due to the generosity of the club.
