Message from Graham Parr - Chairman of the Board of Trustees
On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the East Lancashire Hospice, I would like to thank our staff and volunteers who have risen to the enormous challenge of maintaining the high level of care to our patients and their families in very difficult and challenging circumstances.
As many of you are aware we have had to close, for the time being, our retail shops and furniture warehouse along with the cancellation of many fundraising events and being a charity, this will have a big impact on our funding income. Things will be tough into the foreseeable future but working together with you, our community supporters and our corporate supporters, we will come through this.
I can assure you all that the Board of Trustees has, as its top priority, the continuing provision of a high quality caring service to our patients and their families whilst ensuring the welfare of our excellent staff and volunteers who are working so hard in difficult and challenging circumstances.
