Pre-loved
Our Daisys for East Lancashire Hospice at Clitheroe officially launched on Friday 12th of August, with plenty of customers stepping through the door as usual.
With a range of wedding dresses available, the shop often sees would-be brides popping into to browse through our dresses donated to us from a range of sources, including bridesmaid dresses from one of the bridal shops along Moor Lane.
Ann-Marie Brewer was one such bride-to-be from Ribchester who purchased her wedding dress on Friday morning.
“I saw this beautiful dress last week but was worried it might not fit. I have since found a seamstress in Longridge who has offered to alter it for me.” The long train is what appealed to Ann-Marie and she showed the dress in full length so we could see what excited her. “I knew it was just what I wanted, I wanted to buy a pre-loved dress, because that is what my future husband and I are – pre-loved.”
Ann –Marie is organist at St Wilfred’s church in Ribchester where she will marry her long term partner Peter Ruddock. “We have both been married before, so it was natural to look for a pre loved dress. We also have pre-loved rings - it just feels right.”
Gabrielle Williamson, Marketing Co ordinator for East Lancashire Hospice chatted with Ann-Marie at Daisys at Clitheroe, on Friday, “It is wonderful to see our customers here in Clitheroe, it is a lovely little shop in such a pretty town, offering a vital service, not only to the community, but to East Lancashire Hospice.”
The happy couple will be getting married late summer next year, and Daisys at Clitheroe were more than happy to help the lovely Ann-Marie find the right dress for her special day.
