Raise a glass for the East Lancashire Hospice Ribble Valley Pub Walk

The Ribble Valley Pub Walk organised by the Rotary Club of Ribblesdale to raise money for East Lancashire Hospice, will be making a return this summer on Saturday 21 August, with the route taking participants through the beautiful countryside, stopping off at supporting pubs along the route.

This year’s walk will be the 5th organised by the Rotary Club in support of their local hospice and each year see’s over 500 participants all walking to raise money for patient care.

Barry Wood, organiser of the Pub Walk and a member of the Rotary Club of Ribblesdale, said, “This is an event we all really enjoy planning and for such an amazing cause close to many of our hearts here at the Rotary Club.

It’s always great to see more and more people signing up each year, which makes such a fantastic atmosphere on the day. We’ve always chosen East Lancashire Hospice as the chosen charity to benefit from the Pub Walk and seeing how the money raised from this event can make a difference to our community. You never know when or if you will need the hospice, and this past year they have seen a huge income loss, so it’s more important than ever to sign up to the walk this year and help keep the hospice doors open by raising much needed funds.”

Register your place for £10 and sponsorship raised, or register for £20 with a donation included. Each participant will receive a Ribble Valley Pub Walk t-shirt to wear on the day and a guaranteed great day out. What are you waiting for, lace up your walking boots and step over to eastlancshospice.org.uk/pubwalk2021 to register your place today.

Leanne Green, fundraiser for East Lancashire Hospice said, “The Ribble Valley Pub Walk is such a good day out and it’s always great to see so many people walking through the Ribble Valley in their event t-shirts all raising money for East Lancashire Hospice. We really did miss this event last year, due to COVID19 restrictions, but we cannot wait to see everyone taking part for this year. We are extremely grateful to The Rotary Club of Ribblesdale for their support and dedication to the hospice. The work they put in to organising this event is amazing and very rewarding to see all participants enjoying themselves whilst raising money for patient care.”

Please note – if this event cannot go ahead due to COVID19 restrictions, all participants will be fully refunded.
