Sprucing up for a Cause: East Lancashire Hospice's Post-Christmas Tree
As the festive season winds down and the tinsel settles, many of us find ourselves faced with the aftermath of our beautifully decorated Christmas trees. This year, East Lancashire Hospice offers a sustainable and charitable solution to help you bid farewell to your festive fir. Introducing the East Lancashire Hospice Christmas Tree Collection Service – a unique initiative that not only clears away the remnants of the festivities but also contributes to a very important cause.
Collection Dates: January 6th - 12th
Running from January 6th to the 12th, the Christmas Tree Collection Service will be available to residents living in the following areas; Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley. For a suggested donation of just £8 per tree, East Lancashire Hospice will take care of the entire removal process. This nominal fee goes directly towards supporting the hospice's invaluable work, caring for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
Sustainability at its Core
What makes this initiative even more special is the commitment to sustainability. Collected Christmas trees will be mulched and returned to the ground around the borough. This eco-friendly approach ensures that your festive symbol gets a second life, contributing to the local environment.
How to Participate
Participating in the East Lancashire Hospice Christmas Tree Collection Service is as easy as spreading festive cheer. Simply register the amount of trees you wish to have collected, along with where it will be left - your tree must be in its designated place before 8am on Saturday 6th January. Please note, we cannot accept trees that are bigger than 7ft and all decorations must be removed from your tree before collection.
