East Lancashire Hospice

Will Week Success

East Lancashire Hospice successfully teamed up with some of the leading solicitors from across Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley to bring Will Week to our local community from Monday 24th to Friday 28th January 2022.

Participating solicitors included: AWH Solicitors (Blackburn), Bury’s Solicitors (Clitheroe), Farleys Solicitors (Blackburn & Accrington), Forbes Solicitors (Preston), Harrison Drury Solicitors (Clitheroe), Watson Ramsbottom (Accrington, Blackburn, Darwen and Great Harwood) and Leech and Co (Darwen)

As part of Will Week, these local solicitors kindly donated their time and expertise to support the hospice. In return for a donation to the hospice, clients could have their Will written and the solicitor waived their usual fees. The suggested donation was £100 & VAT for a Standard Will and £175 for a mirrored will and every penny came directly to East Lancashire Hospice towards patient care.

Thanks to their generosity and the kindness of their clients, they successfully raised £4385 in support of the hospice.

Ann Mason, Individual Giving Fundraiser commented, “Once again our local solicitors have gone above and beyond to raise such a fantastic amount in support of the hospice. We will be running Will Week again in January 2023. Thank you to all our supporters for taking part.”

Harrison Drury have now gone on to become Corporate Challengers and are continuing to raise much need funds on behalf of East Lancashire Hospice.
