Chris Lowe –Chair of Darwen Cricket Club said “The players and all the staff here are Darwen Cricket Club wanted to do something to support a local charity and East Lancashire Hospice felt like the right fit as one of our previous long standing committee members had connections with the hospice.  We are aware of the incredible work that the hospice do for the local community and we hope that with our players wearing the hospice logo with pride alongside that of our kit sponsor Jem Logistics, it will encourage additional support at the time when they need it the most”.

Dave Allsop – Director at Jem Logistics commented “When we were asked about sharing the club kit with East Lancashire Hospice, we were only too delighted!  As a Darwen based business it is important for us to give something back to our local community and I can’t think of a better way for us to do this”.

Katie Elliott – Marketing and Communications Lead for East Lancashire Hospice said “We are incredibly grateful to Darwen Cricket Club and to Jem Logistics for their kind gesture and recognise the significant value attached to the kit branding which will help us promote East Lancashire Hospice to the people of Darwen and the surrounding areas.  This past year has been particularly challenging for us as a hospice with the cancellation of all of our fundraising events as well as the temporary close of our shops, furniture showroom and Café Retreat and gestures such as this make a huge difference to us.  We look forward to seeing the team wearing their new kit at their matches!”
