East Lancashire Hospice

Hop Skip and Jump

The Hop Skip and Jump campaign started in March 2022 and involved more than 1600 children which challenged them to run, hop skip and jump on behalf of East Lancashire Hospice.

From as young as 3 up to 11, children from 14 different schools and nurseries hopped their way towards Easter and raised more than £7,000 for the hospice.

Cheque presentations included children wearing their Easter bunny ears. They had also been rewarded with chocolate treats kindly donated by Yeates’ Van Sales who wanted to be sure the children got a little something extra for all their hard work.

The photos generated by the schools showed the children having lots of fun in all kinds of weather and can be viewed on our gallery at East Lancashire Hospice Gallery (eastlancshospice.org.uk)

Gabrielle Williamson from East Lancashire Hospice commented on behalf of the fundraising team: “The children were awesome and loved the bunny ears. It has proven to be such a great success with the children that we have decided to run the challenge again next year and invite even more schools and nurseries to take part as they hop skip and jump towards Easter.

“From our attendance at school assembles, it was clear the children understood how their donations were supporting patients and families at the hospice. We would like to thank all the schools and nurseries for their support, and of course families and friends for sponsoring their little bunnies.”
