East Lancashire Hospice’s Annual Ball, sponsored by The Cardboard Box Company Ltd, celebrated in style to mark the 35 year milestone of providing care in Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley, and raised an incredible £33,216.

250 guests were greeted at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Clayton Le Moors, with a glass of fizz on arrival.

Sharon Crymble, Income Generation and Marketing Lead at the Hospice, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported this year’s event by either sponsoring the event, buying a ticket to attend or providing a prize to help us achieve this record breaking amount. Every single pound raised will go towards helping us to provide care to our patients and also their families at a time when they need it.

“I would also like to say a special thank you to our volunteers who helped on the night and to Margaret Evans and also Elaine Pugh from Beaverbrooks who gave so much of their time to help to organise, source prizes, sell tickets and so much more. Their involvement added greatly to the success of the evening.”
