Sunflower Memory Garden Launch

East Lancashire Hospice successfully launched the Sunflower Memory Garden on Sunday 10th July 2022 at 2pm, allowing guests an opportunity to remember their loved ones with a Sunflower Plaque named in their memory.

The glorious weather allowed those present an opportunity to enjoy the sunflowers and the beautifully tended gardens of the hospice with music and refreshments.

Café Retreat provided drinks, whilst Hippings Methodist Primary School from Oswaldtwistle, sang for everyone. Play it Forward from Crawshawbooth also provided entertainment at the event and Scarlet Dickinson provided a haunting rendition of Somewhere over the Rainbow.

“This was an afternoon to celebrate the life of our loved ones” Ann Mason, Individual giving Fundraiser explained, “Their importance to us will never be forgotten.”

Sponsored by Elektec, the Sunflower Memory Garden is still open to for those who wish to receive a sunflower Plaque by donating in memory of their loved ones, and you can watch our virtual event on youtube by just following the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTnw34AJPl4

You can still make your donation to receive a beautiful wooden sunflower plaque, bearing the name of your loved one, which can be planted in the hospice garden or sent out for you to plant at home by contacting the East Lancashire Hospice.
