Coming together for East Lancs Hospice
The Hare and Hounds based in Clayton le Moors, held a charity night on the 8th October to raise money for East Lancashire Hospice.
After being diagnosed with cancer, Sarah Moore, the landlady of the pub, wanted to do something to raise money for charities that support people in the community who are living with life limiting illnesses. The night was entirely organised by Sarah, with help from her husband Sean Moore, landlord of the Hare and Hounds and friends.
They had a DJ and tribute there on the night, as well as a raffle and auction with the local community attending and contributing in raising a fantastic £2,000 for East Lancashire Hospice.
Paul Charleworth, manager at the Hare and Hounds said, “We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone involved and for raising this amount for East Lancashire Hospice. A massive thank you to Sarah, who despite going through what she is going through, she organised a fantastic evening and what a huge success it was.”
Leanne Green, Fundraising and Lottery Lead for East Lancashire Hospice said, “On behalf of our patients, volunteers, staff and trustees thank you to everyone who helped Sarah for organising her charity night and thank you to all the lovely customers at the Hare and Hounds for coming along and supporting. The money you have helped raise really does make a difference to our patients and their families.”
