Cream Cake Treat for Cafe Comp Winners

Competition winners enjoyed an afternoon treat at East Lancashire Hospice after winning an online contest to name the new bistro.

Anita Almond and Janet Eastwood both came up with the name ‘Café Retreat’ for the newly created café at the hospice Their prize included an indulgent afternoon tea hosted at the hospice’s new cafe, which they got to enjoy with their closest family.

The hospice held a competition on social media asking their supporters to suggest a name for the new eatery, which is part of a larger transformation taking place throughout the building.

Joining Anita and Janet were a number of East Lancashire Hospice volunteers, who won the afternoon tea at the Café Retreat in a raffle. Volunteer Yvonne Eden brought along her husband, Brian, and enjoyed the afternoon treat with fellow volunteer, Geoff McNulty.
