Funeral Director marks 30 years in business with hospice event
A local funeral service celebrated 30 years in business with a drinks reception and hospice auction.
Champ Funeral Services, based in Clayton le Moors invited 80 people to share in the celebration, which raised over £1325 for East Lancashire Hospice.
Managing Director Lianna Champ held the gathering at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel where there was a raffle and auction as well as donations being accepted for the hospice on the night.
Ms Champ said: “It was wonderful to have the opportunity to raise funds for East Lancashire Hospice on the occasion of our anniversary of thirty years’ service at Champ Funeral Services. Our thanks go to the Dunkenhalgh, Northcote, Albert Harrison & Co, Eddleston’s Haulage for their generous raffle prizes and to Ancient and Modern Jewellers for the items for our auction. Here’s to the next thirty years!”
Champ Funeral Services have been sponsors of the hospice’s Light up a life and have previously supported the Sunflower Appeal, also run by the hospice.
